Laser Etching
Very few people realise the role that lasers play in the
modern world. Most electrical equipment components have
been cut and marked using laser technology.
Laser have traditionally been large static pieces of equipment
integrated into manufacturing production lines or used
as fixed point readers for electronic tags.
These state of the art machines will be used for marking
valuable portable assets such as personal computers, Blackberries
and laptops, as well as fixed assets that are already located
in situ, such as fileservers, printers, photocopiers and
televisions.
Initial trials have proved that it is possible to permanently mark almost any surface with a massive range of images, logos and text and that removal, is impossible without dramatically reducing the value of the marked item.
The latest family of lasers are now significantly smaller and more portable than their predecessors. MicroTag’s range of laser etching solutions make it possible to permanently mark valuable assets in situ.
Laser marking can be adapted to include a logo or other
unique identifying mark and can also show a Finders Reward
that encourages people to return found property. The reward
element is fully insured with a Financial Services Authority
approved insurer, and all data is again held by the International
Security Register.
